Mr Adam Thorne - your instructor

Braintree Tae Kwon-Do started in November 2005. Its aim is to introduce Tae Kwon do as an enjoyable and accessible sport for all ages and abilities.

Tae Kwon-Do not only increases flexibility, fitness and strength but also helps build confidence and installs traditional values of respect and courtesy.

Training is on a Tuesday night 7.00 to 9:00 with family for the first hour and adults for the second hour and also on Thursdays 7.15 to 8.15pm for juniors and 7.15 to 8.30pm for Seniors. Last 30 minutes is Sparring practice. Find out what you will learn with Tae Kwon Do.

Meet your instructor:
Mr Adam Thorne


Mr Adam Thorne who is the main instructor has practiced Tae Kwon Do for 15 years and has had the privilege of meeting both General Choi and Master Rhee as a young Student. He is in his thirties and is currently a Deputy Head Teacher at a large Comprehensive school in Essex.

As well as practising Tae Kwon Do Adam Thorne has also done Judo, Savate and Kickboxing, which have helped enrich his teaching. He encompasses a variety of teaching techniques for all ages and abilities to ensure his students progress and improve at their own pace but are still challenged and pushed. He is police checked and fully insured.
